Lego Friends Birthday Party

My baby girl

turned

This was her 6th birthday party - I had planned on having outside.
We have never had her party inside.  She is our only summer baby, so we always plan an outside party.  But with a 40 % chance of rain all day, I couldn't take the chance with my decorations outside.
So, I set it all up inside, against my will.

This is the cake table.

This is the cake made by Sweet Tooth and Cupcakes (check her out on Facebook)
The cake itself was oreo.  Very delicious!

I made the little pendant banner on top - it was the inspiration for the colors of the cake.

This was the drink table.  I put paint samples around the water bottles.
All of my tables were going to be set up against the fence, with that ribbon banner at the top and my paper fans as the backdrop.
I'm still a little disappointed it didn't all work out that way.

This was the food table, kinda hard to see the food and my labels though

These were my birdcages that I fell in love with when I first saw them.  I knew I had to incorporate them into the party table somehow.

I will show the tutorial on how to make these later also.
I'm not good with flower arrangements, so these were perfect for me.
They were a nice backdrop for the food table.

lego rice krispie treats
They were yummier than I thought they would be.
Rice krispie and m&m's go well together.

And our traditional trix on a stick
See my link here on how to make them....Trix On a Stick

I'm in love with banners.  Each of the girls will probably have one in their rooms soon.
They are just so festive.

The girls decorated the foyer and the front door in our paper chains that we made a few years ago for her birthday party and have reused them every year. We usually string them along the deck.

My older two girls each got a friend to help them & they set up stations in our playroom.
One had a jewelry/tattoo station & the other had a nail salon station
They did an awesome job, they kept the little girls entertained!

I made the paper fans, I will have a tutorial on those later

Kitchen island

The girls did get to go outside and play.  We hung frames (that I painted pink, blue and green to match my color scheme) from the trees to set up a "photo booth"
I can't believe I didn't get a picture of just the frames hanging from the trees.  I only have ones of the kids in them (which I am not posting here)

We had a family cookout after the party, the cousins had so much fun together.

Shadow puppets to end the night.
